Technology in the game of Geocaching

Yesterday, we were able to find this unique cache, NFC2 Hidden Treasures here in St. George, UT. 

This one requires the use of a NFC capable smart phone. Since getting the Samsung S4 about a month or so ago, it provided us with a phone that we were able to go find this cache. 

The cool aspect of this cache it that once at the location we had to tap a NFC wireless device that set a picture to the phone of the area in which the cache is located. 

It didn't take long to locate the cache and make the find. it was an awesome cache to find, one that we really hadn't found before. 

Each week I like to listen to a geocaching related podcast call, podcacher which is a great family oriented podcast that has lots of great tips and tricks about the sport and game of geocaching.
